Gregory L. Riley III

Gregory Riley is a Doctoral Student under the mentorship of Dr. Cody Smith in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Gregory received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from Northeastern University, in Boston, MA. Prior to joining the Smith Lab for Pulmonary Immunotoxicology, Gregory worked in industry for 6 years at Minerva Biotechnologies of Waltham, Massachusetts, where he supported projects focused on developing CAR-T cell therapy and other cancer treatments. The focus of Gregory’s dissertation research will be investigating mechanisms of lung injury and repair caused by inhalation of ozone, a criteria air pollutant.
