Connor Moriarty

Predoctoral Student

Connor Moriarty is a predoctoral student under the mentorship of Dr. Cody Smith in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Connor received a bachelor’s degree in health sciences and a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Western New England University, in Springfield, MA. Prior to joining the Smith Lab for Pulmonary Immunotoxicology, Connor’s research focused on the metabolomics of estrogenic nutritional supplements and their role in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancer proliferation. Connor’s dissertation research will involve examining immunometabolic pathways dysregulated by ozone inhalation and the potential role of estrogen signaling in modulating these mechanisms. In his free time, Connor likes to play chess and collect music.
